Elaine Siu is a lawyer-turned-social-entrepreneur with over 10 years’ experience in corporate and finance law, from IPO and M&A to structured products and investment funds. She joined The Good Food Institute to establish its operation in the APAC region, with a vision to create an alternative protein ecosystem in Asia that transforms the local food system and supports the global market movement towards plant-based and cell-based meat, eggs, and dairy.
GFI works with scientists, investors, entrepreneurs, and policymakers, harnessing the power of food innovation and markets to accelerate the transition of the world’s food system to plant-based and cell-based meat, eggs, and dairy. Its operation has expanded from the US to Brazil, Israel, India, Asia Pacific, and Europe. Its no-cost research and consulting services advance the alternative protein sector that provides tasty, competitively priced, easily accessible plant-based products while helping to ensure that a roadmap exists for cell-based product development and adoption.
